In addition to dry weather with good visibility, wind speed is also important.

For the flight and landing to be pleasant, you need less than 10 km/h on the ground, and around twenty in the air. And this even if the technical limits of our hot air balloons and the skills of our pilots allow for higher speeds.

You also need good visibility: so no rain, no low clouds or fog. But a few cumulus clouds of good weather to accompany us during the flight are not a problem.

A beautiful summer day is not necessarily ideal for flying because the high temperatures (more than 25°C in the evening) reduce the performance of hot air balloons.

Above 30 °C, the heat felt during the flight can even become overwhelming.

In the event of a storm forecast less than 40km away, even if the wind is light and visibility is good, flying is prohibited.

The safety of our passengers, crew and spectators remains our priority at all times.
